YoYottaID Transcode

The Transcode option can now create MXF+AAF files for Avid Media Composer.
Previously you could only make a single file type and resolution, so multiple passes may have been needed. Now MP4, ProRes, MXF and DPX can all be created in parallel with a choice of two resizes or the original files size. So you can create UHD ProRes, HD MXF and 1K MP4 in one pass.

    YoYotta on tour, 8 x YoYottaID, 8 x MacBook Pro, 66 x SxS cards, 16 x Sony F55 cameras and 4 x OB Trucks

    Posted July 11th, 2013

That's what you'll need if you are using 16 x Sony F55 4K cameras to film the band Muse while they play a concert in Rome.

Last weekend our customer More2cam used 8 x YoYottaID licenses to quickly and easily backup, checksum and verify over 8 TB of memory cards.
More2cam configured 8 x MacBook Pro laptops, each with YoYottaID and a Sony SxS card reader to secure the 4K footage during filming.

When you purchase YoYottaID you get a perpetual license and the software allows you to assign this license to any computer with a built in expiration date.
Perfect for a job like this.
There is now a store built into YoYottaID so you can download a YoYottaID demotoday, give it a try and then instantly purchase YoYottaID.
Licenses are priced at £160 or YoYottaID LTFS with LTO LTFS archiving at £360.

If you are planning a large or small project in Europe and need camera equipment or DIT services, please contact Yke Erkensat More2cam.

    YoYottaID launches at NAB

You may have seen our preview of YoYottaID at the IBC show last year. Our idea is that a single product can organise your media workflow in production and post.
We got a lot of interest and great feedback and went back to incorporate this into the design of YoYottaID. The release of YoYottaID has been tested extensively on location and in post houses worldwide.
    Here are the main features.

    • Fast, secure backup of camera media
    • Easy full or selective importing of media from shuttle or client drives
    • Local database of media metadata
    • Archive of media to LTFS tapes
    • Affordable YoYottaID software starts at $250
Come and see us on booth C11229 at NAB or get in touch for a demo version. More info on the YoYottaIDpage.

A Guide to the YoYotta Booth C11229 at NAB

    image

We've got lots to show you at NAB this year.
There will be YoYottaID backup and archive of media from the following cameras.

    • ARRI ALEXA using Codex Capture Drive Dock
    • RED EPIC using RED STATION REDMAG MINI Reader
    • Sony F5 and F55 using Sony AXS-CR1 AXSM Reader
    • Sony F65 using Sony SR-D1 SRMemory Reader
You can see how YoDailies can maintain a raw workflow into post without the overhead of the original raw files. YoDailies can now create new raw files without all the bits you don't need. YoDailies keeps track of your conforms to automatically achieve this. We will also have the latest hardware tech from Sonnet and 1 Beyond showing different ways of configuring a YoYottaID or YoDailies system on location or in a cutting room.
There will also be LTO-5 and LTO-6 drives, YoYottaID uses these to create LTFS tapes, this is a great standard for future proofed cross platform archives. There are more and more camera codecs so if you have any questions then please come and ask We are in the Central Hall C11229 close to BandPro and Sony, these maps will help you find us.

Emailing of reports added to YoYottaID

When YoYottaID completes a backup a PDF report is created, in the latest version this can be automatically emailed to you. The report contains the media checksums for future reference. There is no need to setup an email client or server as YoYottaID handles this for you.

    BSC 2013

    Posted March 19th, 2013

Another great show is the BSC expo. We exhibited there last year and found it to be a great way of meeting camera and production people.
It's small and focused perfect for a camera show!
This year we are on the Top-Teks stand and we will be showing workflow with Sony F5, F55 and F65 cameras.

    YoYotta keeps it raw

    Posted Feb 18th, 2013

Shoot 4K raw with Sony's F55 or F65 cameras. Use YoDailies to make your dailies. Then after offline drop the conform ALE or EDL into YoDailies which then trims the shots creating new raw MXF files. No transcoding needed. This allows grading to use raw files without the size overhead. See how it works in this video.
