Use the new Custom Job feature to compare snapshots of different archives. The snapshots can be of drives, tapes or S3 cloud storage. For example a drive compared to four LTO tapes, or a drive and shared storage. By default match file name, path and checksum to ensure an copy, mirroring the folder structure. If a different folder structure has been used for a new copy, disable path matching to ensure all files are present even if they are now in different locations. The checksum matching still ensure all the files are matching. Read more about comparing archives and creating custom jobs
Use ASC MHL to validate folder contents. View the folder history by navigating back through the MHL chain files. ASC MHL reports are a standardised time-stamped file format containing checksums for copies and also re-verifications. ASC MHL is now a requirement for delivery to some studios. Generating and parsing these reports is built into YoYotta v4. Selecting an MHL report in the Source Browser now shows the full MHL contents.
YoYotta Conform will now automatically create a job for each tape drive in each tape library that contains tapes referenced by the current restore.
These jobs can be started in parallel to significantly speed up restores (with or without trimming enabled)
Multi Library 8 drives 500 slots per library
Connect multiple libraries for larger workflows
Supports different generation libraries to manage LTO tape migration
When working with YoYotta Conform, referenced tapes can be loaded into any library for parallel restores and trims using all tape drives
Supports thumbnail and metadata decoding of clips from Canon, RED, ARRI, Sony, BMD, Nikon cameras running the latest firmware.
Clip codec and timecode clip metadata stored in S3 tags.
Speed improvements for upload and download of small files.
Storage classes shown in Project Browser.
The new restore column shows if objects can be downloaded by YoYotta.
Objects stored in Glacier will be red and will not be included in jobs.
If a Glacier restore has been initiated using the AWS console then the objects will have an orange restore status.
S3 workflow requires YoYotta Server.
The YoYotta TAR driver now supports Apple Silicon as well as Intel Macs.
